Do you view each New Year’s Day as an opportunity to begin again? Why not consider each day that way? Each morning that you awake lays before you the opportunity to shift and grow.
You aren’t bound by your past. It doesn’t define your potential. You are a living being who has the potential to grow each and every day. Ask any parent with a baby who is just learning to walk. They will tell you their baby stumbles, plops down or rolls onto the floor, but they get right back up and try again. You did, too, when you were little!
How did you end 2016? I’ve seen many of my friends comment on Facebook that last year was hard. If you feel the same way, I want to encourage you that it isn’t impossible to turn it around. Your mind is a powerful thing; and when it is moving in a positive direction, it’s unstoppable! Begin each day choosing a positive focus and you will be amazed at what can blossom.
How do you shift your mindset to the positive track? Affirmations. An affirmation is a sentence aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words of the affirmation bring up related mental images which inspire, energize – and reprogram the subconscious.
Here are five affirmations to use every day:power
This day is here for a reason. How often do you find yourself just going through the motions? There is a reason for today – perhaps subtle, but it’s there. Great today knowing that you are here for a brilliant reason!
I am prepared for whatever greets me today. Not all days are going to be wonderful, but you have all the strength you need. No matter what comes, YOU can meet it head on. Greet the world with gusto!
Today I will choose gratitude. Happy people don’t have more things, rather than are more thankful. Purpose to find at least one thing each day for which you are grateful, and your life, heart and spirit to a more joyful place.
I am worthy every day. Don’t let yesterday’s shadows haunt you. Despite the mistakes – we all make them! – you are worthy of love and joy. By rehearsing this affirmation every day, you will begin to hold yourself to a higher standard … and the universe will respond with its bounty!
Today is MY day. Every day is yours – you choose to make it what you like! Yes, we each have daily responsibilities, but by viewing them as “have to” tasks, look at them as things you “get to” do.
There you have it. Five simple affirmations to speak out loud every day – perhaps morning and night – in order to reprogram your subconscious to support your conscious desire. You can get creative with them. Find an illustration for each one and view it while you are speaking the affirmation. Or create your own artistic card to inspire your mind. This simple practice will take you much farther than any New Year’s resolution.
Take the positive path!
