Frequently Asked Questions

What are the supplements we will use and how will they help?

We will use Metagenics UltraClear Renew Detox Powder (vanilla flavor) which is formulated to provide specialized nutritional support for all phases of detoxification, It provides a vegan source of protein to support your body while you are not consuming animal meats.

The second supplement is Metagenics AdvaClear capsules which provide bioavailable nutrients that support detoxification.

These supplements are included in the price of the 10-Day Reset program and will be shipped to each participant. I recommend that you register by March 3rd to ensure that you receive your supplements before the 10-Day Reset starts. Registration will be accepted after the 3rd, with the understanding that you may not receive the supplements by March 10th.

I get headaches when I don’t have coffee. Can I do this program?

Yes, you can, but you will need to wean yourself off coffee. We are avoiding caffeine as it interferes with the detoxification process. I have several strategies that have helped my clients wean off coffee without troublesome symptoms. Reach out to me for guidance.

After the 10-Day Reset, I would expect that your energy level will have increased so that you don’t have to depend on coffee as you have in the past.

What will I be eating? Will I be hungry in this program?

There are no restrictions on the amount of food you consume in the 10-Day Reset program, so I don’t expect you be hungry. We will avoid processed/packaged foods, all caffeinated beverages, gluten-containing grains, sweeteners (except for Stevia and Xylitol), and animal-based foods.

There are still a wide variety of foods that you will be able to eat and I provide recipes that creatively combine them into dishes you can enjoy eating during the program. The recipes even include variations that can be eaten in the middle days of the program where our goal is to maximize nutrients that support detox.

Many of my clients have said that they enjoyed recipes so much they continued to make them after the program had ended.

I’m traveling during that time – can I do this while traveling?

Yes, you can. It will take some added planning prior to leaving to be sure you have the food you need. That would be most challenging with airline travel as airports are not usually great places to find real food. I can help you strategize options and make a plan.

How much time is required in this program?

There are simple guidelines for each day in the 10-Day Reset. I do recommend allowing some time prior to starting the program to review the guidelines and recipes and shop for ingredients. Many of the recipes can be prepared once and eaten for several meals or snacks. Besides that, I encourage you to give yourself the gift of extra movement – perhaps a daily walk outside – and self-care to support your body as it is working on your behalf.
